You don't have to feel like this when trying to find and read online news...
For our third year production assignment Stacey Spencer and I are creating and maintaining a fun, youthful and original news website, Portion News. Our website will focus on providing readers with daily:
- General news
- Sports news
- Entertainment news
So what makes us unique and why come to us before hitting up BBC or similar news sites? Our site is modern and young, it focuses on items geared towards 13-25 year olds: we're not boring and we want you to be both informed AND entertained (we think news doesn't have to be bland or feel like a lecture!). To keep up with younger audiences and online stuff they may already use, we've got news updates available in different forms like:
- A Twitter feed-follow us! Our username is portXpress.
- Audio and television clips on 12seconds (look for us at 12seconds!)
- Facebook (If you follow us already, thanks! If not, find us here, or here! That's right, we have a Facebook identity AND a group page...that's how we roll!)
- Of course you can also check out our website...it's the hub of our operation, check it out, we hope you'll be impressed!
Portion News will be launching February 1, 2010!!!! Start the new year off right by getting your news from a site which:
- Knows you're a busy person and need a quick way to keep up with events and information.
- Recognizes you as an individual who wants choices in how to get information.
- Wants to make your news uncomplicated.
We know that not everything in life is a piece of cake, but we'd like to think using and keeping up to date with our site can be. Keep checking my blog and Stacey's for updates on the launch of Portion News!
